But can anyone be a BIG person??
Unbelievable story, but I just heard it on the National News, so it must be true
A 10 year old girl in Quebec found a Tim Horton's cup in the trash, and like every good Canadian, she realized that it was Roll up the Rim season, so she hauled that cup out of the trash
and found it had not been rolled. She enlisted the help of her 12 yearold friend, and with the older child's strong fingers, rolled up that rim and ......... they won the SUV. Well those little girls made a pact right then and there. They would share this SUV, one week in each family, for eternity. And they would also make a trip to Disneyland in it.
Amazing, but it gets better.
There is a 1 in 8 million chance of getting this cup.
The odds of someone throwing out a cup without rolling the rim? Extremely rare
The odds of a child seeing it in the trash? Not so rare.
The odds of one of the parents consulting a lawyer..... pretty damn good.
Yep, the parent of the 10 year old got himself a lawyer. And the lawyer says,no deal. Finders Keepers . No need to share.
I want to scream.

And there's more.... Now the teacher who claims HE was the one who tossed the cup, is now trying for a piece of the pie...

arghh... what a great lesson these kids are being taught eh?

What's mine is mine, what's your's is mine... and what I didnt' even want anymore, is also mine.

Sad.

That's all one can say.

Hmm...let's destroy friendship and a child's sense of fairplay.
I hope that is one nice SUV.

The court ought to make the parent sell the SUV then split and put into a fund for both kids that cannot be touched until they reach college. But that would require common sense and fair play. No room for that these days.

Thanks for stopping by and the nice wishes, Hope.

It is indeed a sad state of affairs when lawyers get involved. Hopefully saner minds will prevail and they can sort it out without the aid of the legal system. Whatever happened to one's word being enough?

I thikn we could learn something from the children here....that is an interesting concept though - we don't have that in the U.S. - with the rolling cup thing I mean.

Unbelievable. After all these years of CNN Headline News, I'm still appalled.
