It's OK, I have a Diagnosis

I finally was able to have a long talk with my doctor, and I feel much better now. Because of my excellent self understanding, and ability to express my emotions clearly , he has no doubts. I have SATOW ( pronounced SAY TOE). He handed me photcopy pages from the Canadian DSMV-IV and told me there is NO cure or prescribe treatment programs. Read up on the condition first, Hope, and give yourself some time for it to sink in. We'll talk later.
And I followed his orders and read the Canadian DSMV-IV information he had provided on SATOW.
It was a tough read but I did it.
It's here. In Black and White.

DSMV-IV
SATOW
Criteria:
5 or more of the following symptoms have been present during the same two week period and represent a change from previous functioning.Typically these symptoms have been present since early chilhood but often presents itself as chronic misbehaviour.
Symptoms include:
  • distractability, flight of ideas
  • insomnia or hypersomnia
  • visual or auditory hallucinations, sees and hears things that no one else does, accusses friends of setting her up. Strong paranoia indications
  • psychomotor agitation, refuses or is unable to sit still. Odd ticks.
  • marked impairment of concentration
  • impairment of occupational function, can't or refuses to work.
  • difficulty accepting reality
  • extreme pupil sensivity when exposed to color
  • extreme mood swings, may like you one minute and want to kick your butt the next
  • refusing to wear proper clothing for weather conditions, came in bare foot in shorts and a touque
  • accusing loved ones of buying roses because they knew.Repeatedly.
  • inappropriate demands, like " I want my ducks and I want them NOW"

Tough day for me. I'm letting in sink in.

"Sick And Tired Of Winter" Syndrome, is a little understood condition that affects most Canadians at some point in their lives. In rare cases individuals who have a long history of displaying symptoms SATOW will often lead to severe mental disturbance and irrational behaviour. There is apparent no cure. It's a wait and see game.

Hey I think we now know the reason for the unsolicited roses...I bet your husband saw your symptoms before you did.
Even better example that you found yourself a great man.

There is absolutely a cure. Follow your "Snowbird" buddies down to Florida and find some reason to stay.

Mark, for the umteenth time it's spelled eh? there is ALWAYS a question mark. If you can not get this right, I may have to take to SCM and have her revoke your honouray citizenship. I actually think she only gave you Quebec citizenship
