Today, I hand the reigns back to my husband. He's back from his week long golf trip in sunny Phonenix late tonight and by tommorow at this time the deck will be shoveled, the driveway will be cleared . He'll have picked up a weeks worth of mail and deposited it all on our dining room table. he will arrange his work schedule to do all the hockey stuff. It will be him on the couch beside my son watching whatever sports event is on Sportsnet, and he won't be pretending to be interested. The garbage will be all sorted into the proper bins, and he will have found his extra set of keys., that I have misplaced. He will converse with our son, and rehash all of the games he missed. Both cars will have gas, and he'll be able to tell me what that flashing light on my dash is all about.
By Monday morning, I will be annoyed because, the mail is all over the table, his snow covered boots will be dripping on the hardwood, and he will have told me a dozen times that you shouldn't ignore red lights on your dash. He'll have told me the garbage is easier to sort at the time, and that his extra keys always get hung up on the hook in the garage. The TV will be blaring Sportsnet, and newspapers all over the living room.
Things will be back to normal.

Me, Not You said...

Haha! How true that is...

I miss my hubby while he's away.
But after he's been home for a week, I am ready to stop tripping over his shoes, ready for the snoring to stop, and the children to be to bed on time again.

I'm glad your hubby made it back safely.
