I have transfered almost everything I do in the way of training on to power point presentations, making me virtually unneccesary.
There was a point in my career this would have cause me great stress, but man, I'm lovin this.
Which kind of brings me to the point of a rather pointless post.
A while ago W3 posted "Why Blog?" and he got alot of good comments and made me ponder.
One thing that blogging has done for me has improved my computer skills.
It is a much repeated joke around my business that I actually , in complete seriousness, told the computer repairman
"I did not forget my password, the computer forgot my password".
I've come a long way in a few short months.
I learn by doing.
When something grabs my interest, I'll sweat through it til I got it.
So my blog interest made me sweat through climbing the computer learning curve and figure out all kinds of things I ran from before.
It's one of the benefits I get from blogging.
There are many.
AND GUESS WHAT???
I TRY TO POST AND MY BLOG HAS DISAPPEARED. LOL shit

Computers 4 years ago were not even a little bit interesting for me. I could not fathom why anyone would want to spend time on the silly box. I actually resented the computer for the first ten years of my husbands and my marriage. He works with computers, and during those years could not be seen with out a computer on his lap.... I considered the computer to be like the "other woman". I resented it big time. Then my husband went to India for a very long business trip. He set up yahoo for me so we could communicate. I actually remembering thinking oh great, I hate that stupid computer and now my husband wants me to use it! Then I sat down in front of it, waiting for him to come online and chat with me... I got bored of waiting, and started to play... I discovered chat rooms.... ever since then I have been hooked! I no longer go to chat rooms, but I have to say I would miss my blog friends if ever I were to stop using the computer. My skills have improved, and I have learned sooo much! I love my computer now.. Who would of thought that would have happened!

A powerpoint without a person in front of it is pretty pointless, so I hardly think you're unnecessary. :-)

At my husband's old workplace, someone once called the help desk and reported that their cupholder was broken. Turns out it was the cd holder.

Heather! LOL!

I love the computer now, but I remember when we got our first one, our oldest was in 3rd grade and I was glad she had access to Encarta for homework. I thought my husband was crazy to want internet, since we'd never use it!

9 years later and I can't imagine not having access to all y'all bloggers around the world!
