foods I love.............

Alberta Beef
We buy our beef from family friends who raise a few, antibiotic chemical free pasture fed cows each year. From their pasture to the local butcher to our freezer. Next step... the grill

Potatoes.... mashed, baked, roasted, scalloped, salads.
I'm a meat and potatoes gal. We grow our own and have a cold room that keeps them fresh year round.
First crop of baby potatoes, boiled with skins on and a spring or two of mint from the herb garden..... my mouth waters.

Salads and fresh veggies. Homemade dressings. I ate 5-10 servings a day before the Canada food guide suggested it.I demand it and pound it into my family.Once at school, my son's teacher asked how many servings of fruit and veggies should they eat a day. She reported to me that the three muskateers answered in unision, in robot like voices.... "
"in order to be healthy you must eat 5 to 10 a day....."
Yep, they've been programed.

All things dairy except milk.I love Gouda cheeses. We have some excellent award winning cheese manufacturers around here.
Wonderful varieties.

All things Ukrainian. Loaded with sour cream. From my grannie who always had homemade perogies, borsch, and cabbage rolls in her kitchen. Anytime was the right time to eat.
Although I buy store made perogies, you just can't find good cabbage rolls in the store. When I make them I make a ton and freeze them
East Indian Curries.Hot, savory, with balsamic rice.
I make excellent curries.
And... See's Chocolate Truffles.
Last July we were in San Fransico, and right by the airport is See's Candy. We filled up buckets as gifts, but due to me having "just one" on the plane, by the time we landed the buckets were empty and I was almost comotose from chocolate overdose. Thus I have an empty bucket and an urge to visit gina.I won't tag anyone in particular, as posting pics has been a problem the last while,

Mmmmmm Gouda cheese - one of my FAVOURITES!
I keep hearing about this See's Candy - I really have to hunt some down the next time I'm in the States.
Your so healthy it's sickening....Where's the chips and dip and Beer? ;)
LOL! Actaully we get our beef the same way and always lots in the freezer. We grow our own chickens for meat.I get sick if I eat too much from the groceriey store. Grow our own tatoes and grow a garden. Although I don't freeze alot I just eat it fresh. YUMMM! Summer Squash is my fav.
I might do this. IF I get the chance.

Hmmm, nothing beats a good pizza. Or some good cheddar on Triscuits. Or a cheese enchilada with a yummy margarita.
