And I drag my weary body home....
boys won 2/3 games, had a great time. Next weekend, camping and ball.
I am always happy to come home, but I'll admit having high speed was eye opening.
I can't get anything but dial up, I live deep in a valley, and we would have to build a tower on the roof to perhaps get it, sometimes, maybe. The opinion varies.
But here's the thing, when I checked into blog world last night it was, click, bam, I was there. When I got home, I counted how long my dial up takes...
One thousand one to one thousand seventeen to load my blog,
one thousand one to one thousand forty one to see comments,
I sometimes play two games of free cell waiting for a picture to download on your blogs....
and now I see what i am missing.....
I have a very sophisticated system in my in- town office, I've just always used it for work.
This may be my Pandora's Box.

Phone company doesn't offer DSL?

We can't get DSL or cable here in our rural area either. We were on dial-up for forever, but switched to Wildblue satellite in December. Satellite doesn't work if it rains or is too cloudy, but when we have it, it's much faster than dial-up, and so I can never go back.

I only have access to dial up...it sure does spoil a person to have that there high speed, doesn't it?!

too bad you do not have dsl. I just got it and I love it. Made life much easier. Although when we finish building our house I am told we might not have dsl in it! Man that will be hard!
Glad to see you are home!

Yep, if you value your time and can get it - get DSL. It is sooo worth it. I cannot tell you how excruciating the slow downloads were for me. Unbearable. Flat out - I just don't have the time to sit and wait. So glad I got DSL. But if you can't and its not an option - whatcha gonna do? ya know?? I hope you get it though...

Makes me feel bad for those posts when I upload a gazillion photos. Sorry about that.

Don't tell anyone, but I usually check blogs at work too, 'cause I never have enough time at home.

It's hard when you know what you are missing!

Glad they won 2 out of 3!

Glad the team did well!
Yeah, once we went with highspeed..we realized we could never go back.
I understand the waiting for things to load. I used to do housework in the minutes it would take to load pages.
