I have been married for 29 years.
If you would have asked me 30 years ago,
where I would be at this point in my life,
I would have would have put down my beer,
laughed and said,
"old, very very old."
Not that I predicted gloom and doom, but to a 19 year old,
30 years in the future is a whole lifetime away.
And that's what it has been,
a whole lifetime with this man.

Every weekday morning, for as long as I can remember,
I have woken up to the same things.
The sounds of boys getting ready to leave, and the smell of fresh coffee.
I am very particular about my coffee.
I use only freshly ground, whole beans , very cold water,
perked, not brewed.
It must have milk, never whitener.
And I always drink that first cup from the same mug.
And I always let out a satifisfied moan, when I have that first sip.

And every day as I haul my tired butt down the hall,
lead by the glorious smell of fresh coffee
I am reminded I am loved, by a man that lets me sleep in,
grinds the beans, measures the water, times it just right
and does not drink coffee.

I love you too.

What a gem he is! I don't drink coffee either, but I've NEVER made any for Marcel. You're lucky.

What a wonderful man you have! Happy Anniversary Hope! BTW I did comment on what you wrote yesterday but wanted to write here also. I have two friends with those saunas you are talking about. They too have fibromyalgia and swear that it helps. My husband and I put one in our new house that is not yet finished! Smiles. Thank you for caring, and your continued support my blogger friend. Hugs.

The man is a robot! He has to be a robot! Or a pod-person from Outer Space! Check under your bed....that's where the pod of your husband will probably be found...

Or maybe he is a Stepford Husband....

Yeah..that's the ticket! You and all your women friends all whacked your husbands and replaced them with emotionless droids that make coffee!

I knew it!!

Call the RCMP!!

Happy Anniversary.

Actions often do speak louder than words, so pay attention to them. The real thanks from you to your husband is your noticing. I'm sure that has been an ingredient in making the past 29 years so enduring and endearing.

Thank you for sharing your happiness with us.
