spewing a stack of warm paper,
music to my ears.
We are done the impossible.
I am the luckiest boss in the world.
Now, before you say anything..... i know, i know
I am a great boss too, .........that's why,
in the face of adversity
I can call on these people,
who never fail to step up to the plate.
But damn, I feel grateful for them all,
for the gifts they bring.
So, we are done.
Now all I have to do is meet with the CEO and present it.
He's the individual I e mailed the song to.
I'm just hoping that my phone rings during the meeting.
I downloaded a new ringtone in my phone. ;)
I haven't had time to visit this past while,
but I swear, I talk to you all in my head during the day:
Here's some examples.
- "oh, I hope those wildfires aren't close to gina"
- "I wonder if liz's daughter has tried this vegetarian recipe"
- "is jason, ok?, I wish he'd write something that would tick me off."
- "This ones for you , littles... "(as I jumped in the mud puddle yesterday.)
- " does gina know there's a racy tv show about the housewives of Orange County? is she in it?"
- " heather might be watching this at the same moment" (as I watch Winnipeg TV on my satellite)
- and likewise," is oshee watching this?", when my boys are watching a ball game, or when my husband talks about the glorious golfing in Phoenix
- "this would probably grow great in liz's garden, it's too cold here"
- "has heather heard this version?" as I listen to Amy Skye.
- and when I play my Spirit CD, full of rhythmic drums, I think of BG riding through the Oklahoma sunshine.
- I hear of Quebec snowstorms and hope SCM is staying warm.
- I wish mysti could paint a picture of my backyard for me,
- and I wonder if the other misty is trapped in Second Life.........helloooooooooo...
- "I haven't emailed bobita yet"... (the story is coming honey, I promise.)
- "Today is Tuesday, I hope things go well at T for jip"
- "He's a nice guy, too bad I couldn't hook him up with dana"
- When I am impatient driving 20 km behind a snow plow, I think of Mike.
- and as April 01 approaches, I can hardly wait to see what is happening with the idiot (his word, not mine)
The printer is done, the paper cooled.
I've missed you, but when we advance to computers that can transcribe my thoughts to my blog , I'm never gonna get this behind again.
Sending warm thoughts........
do you copy??

Actually, the fire was right in my city, although on the other side, so we were never really in any danger.
And for that show, there is a huge controversy about it, most of us who live in Orange County hate it. And the irony is that maybe only one of them even grew up in CA, so maybe they should change it to "Desperate People who Moved to Orange County."
I copy HOpe!!! I wish you COULD find me a guy. Ha ha. Actually, I have been dating this guy for a few months now and it is going pretty well. Only time will tell. I have learned to never assume its gonna work out, cause most often it doesn't. (not trying to be negative - just reality) - anyway, it is good for now. And I have to say, I so much wish that we did have a computer that could transcribe my thoughts to blog or write a letter - that would be sooo cool. I could get so much more done!
Talk to ya later!
In answer to your question, I don't think I have heard Amy Skye's version, though a long time ago, I saw her and Maya Angelou on a talk show together (I think it was Dini Petty) and if I remember correctly, it was on the show that she asked Maya if she could record a song based on her poem. So you could say I saw history in the making. :-)
Heehee, I hope your phone rings too!!
Yeah for getting your work done!
I'm shaking things up a bit in the (veggie)garden this year so if you see something interesting, let me know. We could always use more recipes too ;-)

Um, yeah I was most likely watching or tivo'ing it. Great sports time in Phoenix right now. Great golf weather too.
We had winter here...we really did. We were below freezing for a whole week (at night) and it killed all the plants. That is as winter as we get.
Now off to San Diego for us for a week to cool off.
