I am not a morning person, and as a non morning person,
breakfast is my least favorite meal of the day.
And so, I brace myself for the traditional,
Mother's Day Breakfast in bed.
I've been woken before dawn, and have choked my way through
many of these precious breakfasts,
of misshappen pancakes and greasy bacon,
whilst my darling child has watched as I swallow every mouthful.
But after all this time, I think I got it figured out.
I have just returned from the grocery store,
laden with fresh squeezed orange juice,
precut fruit platter and big, cream cheese covered cinnamon buns.
Now if I can just figure out how to get him to sleep in
this may work out after all.
Happy Mother's Day , everyone.

My dear husband has learned to convince the kids that Mother's Day breakfast in bed is preceded with an early Mother's Day gift - letting me sleep in! This morning I think he locked the door when he left the room. :-)

I didn't get to sleep in...my girls and I joined almost 13,000 others in the Mother's Day Run & Walk (we walked & crossed the finish line holding hands). We went to Smitty's for breakfast afterward. I enjoyed my Ham, Mushroom and Cheese Omelet, Hashbrowns, Toast and Cheese.

Hope your Mother's Day was wonderful and your planning paid off!

All right, Hope, the email address I have to send your questions to is apparently invalid. Let me know where I can reach you.
