Well, I seem to come across the perfect way to triple site traffic in a single day. I rarely check my site meter, which is far down on my sidebar, but today I did,.... and I went from a daily average 0f 34 to 112.

Now, to some of you ( ie gina) , 34 may not seem like a lot, seeing as that's how many COMMENTS you get on a post, but I've always thought that it was really nice that that many people stopped by for visits..... but a hundred and twelve, well.... holy crap, that makes me feel like the queen of blogdom.

All because I said I have a surprise.

Now, I get it...... if I have an inkling of a surprise or secret, I will go to great lengths to uncover what is being kept from me. If you want to drive me and yourself insane, act like there's something you know and I don't, and then be prepared to be hounded to death, until, you blurt out the information I am seeking.

From the number of visits to my site today, I'd guess that some of you are the same way.

Let me tell you how I spent the last half hour.
I visited a blogger I haven't been able to access for a while, and caught up....
zipped over to jip,
I stopped over at barngodess and dana's and looked at all their pictures
I visited liz , saw her beautiful picture of em, but for some reason I can't comment, (grrrrrrrr)
I had a good chuckle over at heather's
I went over to gina's, and listened to her really bad 80's music
and a whole bunch of other stuff......

all in 30 minutes I say, yep, 30 minutes........ because , as of today

I FINALLY have wireless high speed Internet!!!!!

that's the surprise,

hopefully all 112 of you won't be disappointed, cause it sure is exciting to me.

Watch for exciting new things coming from this blog in the near future....;)

as soon as I figure out how to do it.

oh yeah, I have another surprise tomorrow......
(I wonder if that will work two days in a row.......)

34 sounds great to me! My average is anywhere from 15-24/day. I can't imagine getting the comments Gina gets!

I'm glad you figured out how to comment. Your visit tells me that your high speed originates from the Northwest Territories, rather than Burnaby. So tell us, how did you get the wireless, deep in the valley?

Am I actually the first to comment!!! That is excitement in and of itself for me. My fingers are flying to finish this before anyone else. YEAAAAA. I am so happy for you. High speed will change your life girl!!! It will. I am so happy for you. And this mean, i expect you to visit every day. ha ha. I need the hits for MY site meter. I know what you mean, I get about 20 a day average and that is it...maybe I should think of some big thing to do to attract new readers. Maybe I'll tell them I'm taking off all my clothes. Naaaa - that'll make my site meter go wayy down. Anyway, glad you got high speed!

I better send this or I won't be first :)

OMG here I am with my lap top in bed, this could be a problem!!!!
Dana, when I visited your pictures loaded faster than I could scroll.
liz, Burnaby ( in another province, BC) is where telus ( my OLD provider originates. NWT is where Netcaster, my new miracle provider originates, I get it through satelitte, dee in the valley :) this rocks.
By the way NWT is the real North, land of the Midnight sun and one of the most strikingly prestine and beautiful places on earth

Welcome to the zippy world of high speed! Now we want pictures! And other fun things!

Yeah, blogging in bed becomes a problem. I had to quit because my hubby was taking it personally.

The thrill of the laptop on the bed will get old once you've gotten all caught up, I'm sure.

I know my satellite company tells people on their sitemeters that I am either in Kansas or Colorado. Clearly I am not in either place.

I hope everything is OK with your new satellite. You'll probably have noticed by now that the signal doesn't work so well on cloudy, rainy days. Hopefully yours has dial-up back up, which saved us over the summer before we had to take down those trees.

I also hope all is well with you and that you are just hanging out in your garden, pulling up potatoes!
