One of the things I promised myself I'd do this year is embrace, rather than shun technology.
Although some of you may never have guessed, I'm not too big on all the new stuff that's out there.
Closer to to truth is that it all intrigues me but nothing makes me feel more stupid than trying to figure it all out... I mean ,my god, it took me weeks to figure out how to add a link onto this blog! ( thanks liz)
My first project to tackle is an IPod Touch.
I'll admit to feeling envious of all those people walking around in their own little world, a tiny cord dangling from their ear to somewhere in their pocket... enjoying their own private moments .
The only place I listen to music is in my car.
I know how to work that CD player.
I haven't really figured out the remote on our system at home, so unless it's turned on by someone else, I'm pretty well left humming to myself .
Now, truth be told, I really didn't choose to have an IPod, it kind of chose me, but that's a story for another day. Let me simply tell you now, I inherited it.
I figured I would join the hundred's of people I see every day, enjoying their own music, anytime, anywhere.
Tonight I took it out for the second time... last week I downloaded ITunes, updated my Media Player and discovered Limewire. I needed a weeks vacation from all of that, but today I figured I tackle it again....
It's a steep learning curve for me folks, I have never heard the terms Wi-Fi, and have no clue the difference between rip and sync , mp3 and AAC, and I'm getting one of my computer headaches.
And.... I'm stalling..........
I feel badly for making fun of my parents for the flashing "12:00" on their VCR.

Sorry I can't help on this topic. I could have written this post, from listening to music in my car (radio only though!) to not having a clue about the music terminology on the computer. I know we have all that stuff on my computer for my daughters' I Pods but that's as far as it goes. Good luck!!
I love my i-pod! Like you though i knew close to nothing about the little critter, that is until my sons and hubby taught me the joy of using one! I now use it while i paint, exercise, or just want to relax. I hope you figure it out soon!
Hugs Hope. So glad to see you back.
Tracy/aka Mysti for Mysti's spiritual journy.
Ha! Thanks for the laughs. I've had my own share of techno foibles lately! I love the reference to the "12:00" blinking on the VCR! My son and my husband both have I-Pods, but I'm not sure I could work one. ;P
