Watch out Phoenix. Canadians on the loose.....

6 am: My husband has just left for Phoenix. 10 golf courses in 6 1/2 days.

Although his last day of work was yesterday, his holiday officially started on Wednesday, when he stopped shaving. On Wednesday,he also pulled out his golf bag and began the four day process of getting it organized.

Golf balls were compared, tapped, assessed and chosen. Cleats on both pairs of shoes replaced. Clubs polished, covered, uncovered, and swung. New tees purchased. All weather suit refolded. Bug spray, sun protection, check. Four days may seem like a long time, but keep in mind he repeated this process several times. After supper, he completed this task by placing the golf bag and contents in his "travel carrier", zipped, locked and tagged. " Done" he proclaimed, and laid on the couch with the boy to watch the Olympics for the rest of the evening.

Just as I'd made some tea and crawled into bed with my book, my husband came in asking me if I knew where his summer clothes were, and started a load of laundry. He couldn't find his belt, or sunglasses, his phone charger or his plane tickets. He wanted to know the location of his passport, and the travelers cheques we didn't use last summer. Just the little details.

This should not have surprised me.This man has walked in the door 20 min before we've left for vacation, thrown the required # of boxers in a carry on and walked out the door. On the plane he had to borrow 3.00 for the headsets because he didn't bring cash.

So I dragged my butt out of bed, and helped.
And then I lay awake all night listening to him sleep, fearing he wouldn't hear the alarm.
So I'm tired, and we'll miss him.
How will that man survive down there without me?

He probably won't. You'll have to go down there and get him....

We haven't had rain here in Phoenix in 129 days. They are forcasting a 10-20% chance on Tuesday and Wednesday (which is laughable). Did your husband bring any canadian percipitation with him? Or, because he has come all this way, maybe it will rain just to be spiteful. Either way, washing my car every couple of days isn't working to bring the rain, so I hope he brings us better luck.
