Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Beautiful white fluffy snowflakes. The picture perfect White Christmas.
30 hours straight is pretty from the inside looking out, but we were pretty much at a standstill yesterday. No school, no work, intermitent power outages. The only thing not cancelled? Last nights hockey practice. I had 3 boys and three hockey bags to pick up, cram into my vehicle, and drive 30 km on unplowed country roads. To get to hockey practice.
I miss my husband. I never have to this stuff.
It's the stuff that I rarely appreciate, that now that he's away are huge.
He always charges my cell phone, it died on me yesterday ( on the way to hockey practice.)
He picks up the mail ( our table has been clear all week, and I just realized why: I forget to get the mail)
He shovels the snow ( my son has made wandering paths all around, but it's piled up all over)
He does all the hockey stuff, the practices, schedules, games, I just go when I want.
He makes our son's breakfast and lets me sleep in. Our son left for school on Monday, munching on beef jerky for breakfast ( I slept in.)
He picks up my slack, and although rarely notices when things need to be done, always helps when asked.
He'll be back Sunday. Things will be back to normal.
