I treated myself this weekend, and walked a labyrinth. I've done this for the last few years, having been introduced to them by a friend, as a way of relaxation, meditation and prayer.
A labyrinth is not a maze, in fact it is almost the opposite. In a maze, you wonder through paths, dead ends and false doorways to figure out the path, it is a very logical left brained activity. In a labyrinth, it's carefully laid paths lead you to the centre and back to the beginning, designed to be spiritual and creative. Right brained thinking.
I needed to get centered. Balanced.
I'm feeling better, more powerful, more content. Settled.
What do you do to take a step back and rejuvenate?
Have you ever walked a labyrinth?

After reading your post, I was intriqued. What is 'walking a labyrinth'? So, I turned to google for some answers.
What an amazing meditation tool. I can see why it works.
Did you build your own?
I am in the process of designing my own, outdoors, using sages to mark the paths. The one i walk is at a church gym, tiled in the floor. they are amazing. i look for them wherever i go. You are bound to have some anywhere you are. Just look.
man that looks the coolest thin on earth, awesome pic made me wanna jump right inta it an visit, what a amzin concept
What a wonderful Idea! I need to find one of those. I have never in my life seen one! I certainly need to do something like this though.
The only one I seen had David Bowie doing bad things to a baby so now I am scared of them. Actually I didn't know such things existed.
I got lost just looking at the picture. I walk a Labrynth every night trying to manuever my way from bed to bathroom. Does that count?
As far as I know, I've not walked a labyrinth either. I'll have to google it oshee did...
Thank you for introducting me to something new. :)
