When we built our home 12 years ago, we lived on the property for 4 months in two small campers. It rained Every day, with the exception of the week it snowed. I swore off camping the day we moved into our semi complete home and with 1 exception I maintained I was done with living in confined spaces with people who had nothing better to do than get in my way.
Until the end of last year.
On a whim, I bought a little old tent trailer that was parked in someones driveway with a for sale sign on it. I then found out it was 375.00 to put a hitch and light hook up on my car. 75.00 more than the trailor. Oh well... in for a penny...
I brought it home and am in the process of "renovating" my little treasure, having pulled out the ice box and leaking water tank, and will patch the hole as soon as I figure out how. And Iwill paint the inside, and fill it with cozy blankets and pillows.
We have 2 holiday trailors on our property, relatives who like free storage, and my little tent trailor looks silly beside them.
My brother questions my sanity when he says, why don't you just use mine...... with the center vac and full bathroom.....
Perhaps it's my memories of childhood, in old canvas tents and campfires.
We have campground reservations for the May long weekend.... me, our son and the Cree Princess.
The Cree Princess has named my little tent trailor "Sleeping Beauty".
It aspires to create beautiful memories.
I love the view thru children's eyes.
when i find my camera i will post reno pictures.

I remember camping in a canvas tent on wheels. We called it a pop-up, but compared to todays standards, it was just a tent on wheels.
Oh how neat.... Sounds like lots fun. I can not wait to see the pictures!
