Our house has a lot of windows.
Yesterday was so glorious that I opened them all up, not bothering to shut a door behind me.
I love filling my home with the outdoors.
I'm not sure which door my little visitor came in, but he was almost vacuumed up .
Lucky for him he moved, because I actually have dustballs that size.
Upon discovering little birdie , the vacuum was shut off, and an hour or so was spent trying get the little fellow out safely.
We have 30 foot ceilings in the living room, floor to ceiling windows, a scared bird, and three interested cats. Oh yeah, and the barking dog.
Through great ingenuity and perseverance, I was able to not only get birdie out from under the glass ceiling, but take a picture of the dramatic rescue at the same time.

LOL
Blue hair..heh.

It reminds me of when as a kid one of the cats would bring in a not yet dead bird and then the cat would lose control of not yet dead bird and the bird would go nuts through the house as we tried to get it out, without the cat recapturing it.

Talk about CHOAS.

I am glad your little visitor was able to be let out back outside safe and sound.

wow youre keen duster in one hand and camera in the other. Im sure the bird appreciates its freedom, just as a matter of interest how much vacuming did you have to do after the bird got free, those feathers are a nightmare ;)

lol agrees with jip you are one talented lady to hold a dustbuster and bird in one hand and take a picture with the other! Glad the bird got out safely. How sweet is he!

Neat pic. He looks plum tuckered out, too tired to fly.

Last summer I found a hummingbird stuck in my garage. It was disoriented and just hovered at the window...even tho the garage door was wide open. I retrieved a ladder, held out my finger...and it perched. It was visibly tired and rested on my finger for some time. Finally, it flew away to fuel up at the feeder and perch in the backyard tree.

It was thrilling!
