During the long course of our marriage and family life, we have a morning routine.
That routine does not include me.
I show up just in time to drive my son to school or kiss goodbye, but it is accepted that I am not a morning person, and my family copes.
They don't ask questions, make demands or expect anything from me for the first hour I wake up.
For I am not really awake. My body is out of bed, but my brain is still deep in the throes of sleep.
When my men got up for the golf course at 5 am this morning, I only know it because somewhere in a dream I heard a toliet flush.
And a little later on , in the same dream, I heard the cows moo.......
the cows moo????

Body out of bed, brain still asleep, I took this picture at 6 am
out my bedroom window,

and crawled back in to bed.

Can someone tell the neighbors cows,
I am not a morning person?????

That's too funny...those cows sure look like they are enjoying your grass. After all, the grass is always greener...

I'm not a morning person either and I'm so NOT looking forward to school starting. With both kids in high school, I'll have to set my alarm for 6AM, instead of the more reasonable 7:15 of the summer.

Oh I'm the same way. I actually get up early and get to the office before everyone else, mostly to avoid having to cope with the morning routine (that's Marcel's job)AND to have about half an hour at the office before I have to talk to anyone. When I have a rare day off, it totally throws everyone off their routine.

Oh man. I can't wait until Miss K is old enough to get her own cereal, because I so am not a morning person either! How fabulous that your family understands, and avoids their own ugly deaths by letting you have that time.

Almost 10 years later, PDQ and I have come to an agreement. Don't talk to each other until after the 2nd cup of coffee and the rest of the day should go well. Now, if only I could get Ms. RB to understand that concept.

Dang Cows!

How funny. I have taught my older children to get the youngest two up (ages 1 and 2) for me. My kids get up at 6:30a. Isn't that horrid? I tend to get up around 7:30a. But I usually wish I could sleep 'til 10.
