Cruise Control..... my new best friend.
A while ago, I got a speeding ticket, and although I complained about getting the ticket, I was speeding, so I paid my fine and forgot about it... until this morning whe I opened my mail.
My insurance company informs me that they now do random checks of your driving abstract and....
they know what I did this summer.
Now apparently this ticket is a freebie, this is just a friendly reminder that if I get anymore infractions over the next two years, my insurance premimums wil be raised by 25%, including all my business vehicles.... yikes.
Now if I am a good driver after two years, they will forgive this ticket, and I once again will be on their good drivers list.
I have a heavy foot, and do alot of driving......... and I love barreling down those country roads...
So, I am destined to dust off the cruise control, use only the left traffic lane, and cringe /panic everytime I see a police car.
I feel like I've been grounded.

I understand your pain. I now think of cruise control as saving me from tickets. I am so used to it now I tend not to even think of it. After one too many tickets one learns fast.

Oh boy, I just love the threats from the insurance company. They shouldn't raise you if you've been good for years and then make one mistake.
Ouch! 25 percent is quite a bit, especially if you have a lot of vehicles.
Isn't it funny though that almost everyone speeds? Even if you are a totally law-abiding citizen 99% of the time, speeding is something that almost everybody is guilty of.

Speeding, a favorite old passtime of mine. Cured when I got that first speeding ticket. Now I drive like granny on the backroads out for a Sunday Drive.
I only had to get one of those photo tickets to mend my wicked ways (ie. get better at watching for the cameras). 25% is nasty!

isn't that just wonderful of them. Cruise control and I are on a first anme bases. I could not live without it or I would get a speeding ticket regularly.

I can't do it. I hope you can, but I can't. I got to work 40 minutes early yesterday. I left in plenty of time........I hauled ass! Why? I don't know! Just because. If I'm driving, I'm on a mission...a mission to get from here to there and I want to complete that mission in the shortest amount of time possible.
Maybe it's because I hate driving. I was a truck driver for years. I despise being on the road. I wanna get it over with....so I drive...as fast as conditions will allow. If it's high, dry, and not a cloud in the sky......look out cause there I went!
