A gorgeous, brisk autumn Sunday.
My husband and daughter clean the garage,
my son and the Cree Princess tidy the porch and deck,
and I blog.
I pride myself in planning and delegation.
I wonder about the families of the men featured on "Dateline" on Friday evening, ordinary men from various walks of life who were caught in a sting. Opportunistic pedophiles, men showing up to have sex with someone they thought was 13 years old. And they get righteously busted, on national TV.
So much collateral damage. More broken families in a world of broken families.
And it makes me want to hang on tighter to my little tribe.

I didnt watch dateline Friday, but Ive watched past episodes of "to catch a predator" is that what it is called?
What is wrong with those idiots? no, dont answer, I already know.
lol, I got a giggle out of the chores being delegated, do they call you the 'supervisor'?
it sounds like you have a great family.
Happy Sunday!!
The sad part about it all is that show just shows how common the problem really is. From the Catholic priests to members of congress to that bastard who killed that girl in the Colorado high school (he found all the girls he took hostage on MySpace).
You are right, after seeing stuff like that it does make one appreciate ones own family. We truly are blessed.
Those people do make me sick. I truly think they deserve everything they get!
What sick individuals.
It amazes me how many men they arrest. And there are probably thousands more just waiting. It makes me ill.
protecting our kids is a lifelong job right now because of people like them and ones weve known poersonally its so not fair.
Yes, it is amazing and sickening. The pervasiveness of sick individuals in the world today is frightening and so real. UGH. And after those Amish school shootings (and other), made me kiss and hug my little guy several times this morning before sending him off to school.
Sick, Sad, Pathehtic and OH SO STUPID.
Hang on Tight Hope. I will do the same here.
I have been thinking about this all day (yes, I was here earlier) and coming from my background...this is not new stuff. It's sad for me to think that it took this long (give or take a few years) for people to actually wake up and realize that this stuff has been going on for...well for ever.
We are one step closer to ending it because we have opened our eyes to it.
