For me, this stage of my life , holds endless possibilities for refining my spirit.
This was the first line of my blog that I started in January of this year.
I had no idea what blogging was all about,
I had heard the word, Goggled it, and voila....
I had a blog.
This line is in fact, very true of me.
I am a seeker. An observer.
And often I feel like an outsider,
just two steps outside of the mainstream.
Looking in.
Often puzzled.
My spiritual beliefs are eclectic, for deep in my spirit
I believe that all religions have the same basis, relevant truths
and the same God, our Creator.
I practice my spirituality quietly, through my actions and prayers.
My parents gave me formal religion.
My maternal grandmother was the first to teach me matters of the spirit.
My grannie, who was of Rom decent, taught me many things,
she was the one who called me Hope.
She said it was my spirit name,
because my soul was a hopeful soul.
My grannie was the neighbourhood psychic,
with herbs for all your ailments and
her gypsy ways made the tongues wag
in her small Mennonite community.
But they flocked to her for advise and herbal remedies.
She raised 5 children as a 24 year old widow through the great depression.
When I asked her how, she looked puzzled...
I just did, she said.
She taught me that our Creator gave us all we require.
We just need to accept it and use it.
I warned you I was in Wander-mode.....
but I actually am just adding two things to my 2007 to do list:
*find a group of Spiritual people to commune with
*write my grannies story for my children and their children.

Sounds like two very good additions.
Wonderful additions in my opinion. :) My mom of my heart just did that very thing. It was a wonderful insight into her life. My sons loved it as much as I did. Someday your family generations to come will appreciate that effort. :)
