Well, I was absolutely right.
Not joining Shutdown Day allowed me to breeze through blogdom,
I do not have to share my dial up connection today.
Thanks to all of you who have selflessly set out to prove a point.
The point being.....
Can I live without my computer for a day?....
of course you can...
The real question is ,
Do you want to?
I have dial up because I live deep in a valley, and so far
other than building a large tower on my roof,
I have no way to pick up signals other than my trusty phone line.
I have contemplated building a tower, but that's not gonna happen.
I can't get my husband on back up on the roof.
You'll chuckle when you read why
Despite time passing , he does not laugh.
So thank you all for sitting out today, unclogging the airways.
Perhaps we could do this every Saturday,
Just think of the quality family time you'd be gaining.

I am afraid of heights too, but that was a funny story!
I'm glad you had an easy time surfing today!
I HEAR ya about the dial up! I have it and it sucks.
My phone co is privately owned and they keep promising me DSL, I am patiently waiting.....
I hope you have a super week! I am off for a vacation to sunny FL, alone.
Yea, I'm waiting for my cable internet to be installed - tomorrow should be the day! My dsl isn't working righ tnow and I have to use (curses inserted here) DIAL UP!!! Say it isn't so!!! I do love my computer and would be hard pressed without it - let me tell ya!
I hadn't heard of Shut Down day. Which is fine. I went for several days without internet while on vacation. I am struggling to get caught back up on everything and I have cable broadband.
