As for me..... first thing Tuesday morning, I did the
26th Annual First Day of School " Dance of Joy".
And I got to take down the list that hung on the fridge for my son,
and was update, by necessity, throughout the summer.
* When there are no adults home:
- No quading
- No one in pool (or hot tub)
- No prank phone calls...(call display will get you every time)
- no throwing rocks
- no throwing apples ( no slingshots)
- do not drive golf balls into river
- do not drive golf balls over road
- do NOT go into dad's golf club storage
- NEVER USE HIS CLUBS!!
- no riding bikes off deck
- leave dog outside if muddy or dirty
- clean up after your dog
- do not use power tools
- or axes
- the lawn mower is not a quad
- never climb on the roof to get ANYTHING! EVER
- NO STAYING HOME ALONE!!

haha, my list is very similar!
no guns, no shooting any kind of weapons, no one allowed inside the house except YOU.
as mothers of boys we must be explicit in our rules....
Ha!
I'll need to remember this.
Great list! Although I have to say that I've never had to write any of these for my girls, except the pool one.
hahaha! Guess I have teenage-hood to "look forward to."
Hilarious. Love that the progressive nature of the list...and that he isn't allowed to use axes. DANG, you are so strict!!!
Hee hee.
Yep recognize that list. Laughing, both of us are now doing the Dance of Joy.
I like the clincher...."No staying home alone!!" Yep, that kinda wraps it up, now doesn't it?
I too did a retarded looking little jig the first day the kids got on the bus. I work nights and for the first time in a very long time, I got some sleep.
I see you've changed the skins on your blog. Very, ummm....clean....in a Feng shui sort of way.
boring.... say it, I know it's true, it was a mistake when I pushed a button...... and I haven't had the inclination to sit down and decorate..... exciting things to come.....when it snows... I am enjoying every sunny day outside. :)
im sorry whats a quad?
Amelia
A quad is a 4 wheel recreation vehicle, I'll post a pic sometime soon. ;)
We just call them 4-wheelers down here. We have a real problem with them tearing up our property and our neighbor's property when they ride here without permission.
I have to make a list like that when Nathan gets older????
Shit I'm done for.
Would they really use the lawn mower as a Quad?
Sharon running screaming from the room.
