When I finally got back on my computer the other day, I visited all my blog pals, and commented on W3's blog, later when I went to catch up on mark, he had posted
this which I just had to e -mail to W3.
As I scrolled down the rest of marks blog, this jumped out at me. My daughter had just sent the Cree Princess off to grade 1 that day, so I e-mailed her a copy of it,feeling very smug about my new found abilities, made easier with high speed. And complementing myself at how appropriate this poem was.
Imagine my surprise when she phoned me this morning in tears.
Mushy, sloppy, barley able to speak tears!!!!
the conversation................
"That poem is soooooooooooooooooooo sad."
"I thought it was touching......"
more sobs and liquid...."it thays i am losing her.... foreber.................."
"Well, grade one is a big step......"
"bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..................."
I suck.

Ya just never know how someone is going to take something. It's one of the things that makes the human condition so compelling. you just never know. Trying to be helpful and you can cause an avalanche! Who knew?
These kids really do a number on us, don't they? I really didn't expect to lose it when I got back from taking Emily off to college.
That poem is very sweet and it just spoke to her in a big way. No, you don't suck at all.
Awww, your poor daughter! How much meaner could you be? ;)
kids and changing grades hurts
I want high speed dammit.
awww, it's hard when our little ones growup so fast!
Oh, I can relate to her take on the poem.
