My husband got off the plane last night, in -18C weather, in his shorts and shirt sleeves. The last round of golf they squeezed in before his departure, lasted longer than anticipated. The plane was 1 hour late in departing, so he made it. And he's home.
Conversation was imediately centered around every golf hole they played, and we had a 90 minute drive. I tried to divert him. " So tell me about Phoenix"
Phoenix, according to my husband, is heaven on earth. An oasis in the desert. The land of 150 Golf Courses. A garden of Eden for golfers, and sports fans. Phoenix has every major franchaise of sports. The best place he's ever been.
And apparently the place where my husband and his 3 friends are planning on retiring.
Apparently, golfing is not the only thing they did on their vacation. They also sat in the hot tub each evening and pooled their collective thinking and dreams into an absolutely rock solid retirement investment plan. They want to buy a condo, on a golf course in Phoenix. Now.
By renting it out to people just like them , they could not only visit when they wanted, but they would also make enough money to retire much earlier than planned.
Retire. To a condo. On a Golf Course.
Great.

What is -18c anyway? Like Igloo weather? Are there penguins in your neighborhood? I'm with your hubby, Phoenix sounds pretty good.
While I adore Phoenix, I do not think you would wish to retire here. You certainly seem more the curl up by the fire type than the lounge by the pool type. That condo idea could be a great money maker though. Golf vacations can be very popular.
Oh, and mention to your husband that most of us living here, don't actually count the Cardinals as a pro team. lol
Why did you let him? Well he has a few years to retirement right he might forget?
SIGH. I'm sooo glad my hubby is not sport inclined.
In mourning for Hope!
